Professional liability coverage designed for attorneys dedicated to providing legal aid (equal justice) to the domestic indigent and low-income community
Typical public entities / organizations include (but are not limited to):

Private law firms are considered. Following are some guidelines:
Private law firms acting as contract defender / assigned counsel
Minimum of 80% of the firm’s clients must be low-income
Not greater than 35K annual revenues from remaining 20% of clients that are not low-income
No publicly traded clients
Typical practice areas include: Criminal, Family Law, Immigration, Civil Rights/Discrimination, Bankruptcy, Civil Lit Defense (healthcare, elder law, veterans, domestic violence, housing, tenants’ rights, consumer, etc.)
Unacceptable practice areas include: Intellectual Property, Securities, Plaintiff, Mass Tort/Class Action, Real Estate, Business Transactions, Banking
